Rock Climbing Systems 101 - Mini-Expedition

Events at Appalachian event image

Have you ever wanted to explore the art of rock climbing? This particular course is often deemed the most popular climbing trip that Outdoor Programs offers.  This course has recently repalced our Introductionto Rock Climbing and is now a two part series, which along with Rock Climbing 201 progresses students through the essential skills necessary to climb on their own, in a single pitch enviornment.

Spend 4 days in Pisgah National Forest climbing at various locations around Cedar Rock and Looking Glass Rock, exploring the art of climbing.  Students will gain lots of hands on practice through small workshops and lessons.  Our instructor to student ratio is set high to assure that students get plenty of one on one training.
